A Fall Family Day

I love being with my family. I love it when we laugh and play and forget about everything else for a while and just concentrate on each other. Today was one of those days. We worked. We played. We appreciated.
Today Myla helped us unload the wood for our fires this winter. She worked so hard. She is such a good helper. Myla passed the wood to me and I would pass the wood to David.
David worked so hard to get the wood to stack just so and then. . .
It all fell. I couldn't resist getting a picture of the damage.
After the wood was stacked or should I say re-stacked, David moved to the front yard and started to rake the leaves. I say started because he never quite got the job finished.
Myla came out - saw the leaves and took off. There went the leaf raking for the day. Soon I joined in and the leaves were all over the yard again.
Sorry Daddy.
I am trying very hard to learn to slow down and not get so worked up about things. I still have a very long way to go. But soon my daughter will be grown and these moments will be no more. So who cares if I get leaves in my hair or down my pants - which I did. This was a moment that I am very thankful for.
At the end of our wonderful day together we went to the look-out over Pacific and took in the view.
Moments are all we have. My goal is to try to make them wonderful.
