What a fun Halloween we had this year. Myla was a witch and she really looked great. My parents were in town and I think they enjoyed themselves too. They couldn't get over how many people were out.
Myla ended up not wearing the witch's hat because it kept blowing off. So Papa got into the spirit and wore the witch hat. I wish I had a picture of that because it really was something watching my dad walk around with a witch hat on top of his baseball cap all night.
Halloween at Hawthorne is so much fun. There are so many people everywhere. Everyone is out in their driveways passing out candy dressed up in their costumes and sitting around a fire pit.
Some people can dress up kinda scary. Like the guy below. Yes there is a man in that costume and he scared Mama and Myla pretty good when they came up for candy.

What wonderful memories are being made. What wonderful traditions. Like the hot dog guy, the soda fountain guy and the older people wanting to hear a joke before they will give you any candy. And don't forget carving the pumpkin, eating chili before we hit the streets and watching the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
She covered about 3 and half streets and her feet were killing her but I think she got a good haul.

I am afraid she just couldn't wait any longer.
